Illuminated Figures is a life drawing class held in McChuills, Glasgow. It offers a two-hour class every Monday night for a very reasonable price and even provides materials for anyone who may not have them.

 

Illuminated Figures has one model who does several poses for different time frames; therefore, she did two different poses that were one minute long as a warm-up, and then she went on to do some ten, fifteen, and twenty-minute poses throughout the two-hour class. There is also a fifteen-minute break included in the middle of the class so you can relax and get a rest from drawing as the poses are immediately one after the other.

 

I found this class very relaxing, the subtle music that plays in the background whilst everyone is silently focused on their drawings creates a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. Two hours can seem like a long time, but it isn’t, the time goes so quickly without you realizing it.

 

Overall, I found this class enjoyable and worth the time and money. I will plan to go back when I can to improve my drawing skills.
